Welcome to Year 2 Miss Chisman Year 2 English - were were inspired by 'Jim and the Beanstalk' by Raymond Briggs to write our own twisted tales. English - the children wrote diary entries from the perspective of 'Plop', from 'The Owl Who was Afraid of the Dark' Maths - we have been exploring properties of 2D and 3D shapes We worked hard on our fact-files about hedgehogs and were proud to publish our Hedgehog Leaflets Science - We went on a hunt around school looking at what materials different objects are made from. In maths we have been learning to partition 2-digit numbers. We found a treasure map that led to Pirate Treasure! Then we wrote some fantastic pirate adventure stories.
