Garden Club

Garden Club restarted in Spring 2 2024 with a lot of tidying and clearing. We had 3 of our raised beds replaced as they were rotten which created quite lot of mess.

Mr Sandford kindly donated some chippings so we added them to some of our muddy areas.

Last year the tyres kept drying out so this year we are adding another level and planting herbs.

A new gardening year is ahead of us and the first group have set about clearing and preparing the ground for warmer weather. We planted Mrs Marshall's tree, the first step in our new quiet area. We have planted more snow drops and gave the rose a trim to reshape it to grow up the arch. Sometimes we must cut things down to make improvements but we hope it will grow back even better and we may even have some successful cuttings.

UPDATE - A YEAR LATER AND ONE OF THE CUTTINGS IS A NEW ROSE BUSH!!
